The Obvious

Funny I was so into creating my labels (tags) that I forgot the obvious one: 23 Things.

I will have to correct this minor detail, and remember the tags do not have to be so formal, or LC subject headings. Thats the fun of it.

Thing 12 2.0 and The Libraries Future

Well it took me a while, but I finally was able to link a You Tube video to my blog.

Now I can continue on my TLC 2.0 journey.

Yes, Library 2.0 has aided in helping libraries keep up with the ever changing technology. This technology has effected how and how fast we get information to the library customers.

But, look out; coming soon to a library near you is Library 3.0.

Librarians will be spending more and more time in the electronic frontier.

Below is a sample of a job announcement I found in a document entitled “Library 3.0: where art our skills?”

By: Dr Grace Saw Executive Manager, Physical Sciences and Engineering Library Service at the University of Queensland Library in Australia, and Ms Heather Todd Executive Manager Biological and Health Sciences Library Service at the University of Queensland Library in Australia.

Thing #9 Tecnology and the Future of Libraries

What a better way to look at the future of libraries and web 2.0 than a futuristic look.

See YouTube.com Libraries in 2010

It's entertaining however, toward the end of the video it provides logical suggestions on how libraries can remain leaders in providing information insure libraries place in future society.
